First time here. Beautiful building and atmosphere was great. Our waitress was Monica and she was fabulous. Drinks came out fast and were tasty. Ordered the Cajun Onion and it was delicious. We ordered Miss Annie’s burger and the blackened red fish with Ettouffe. Cheese grits were delicious and I don’t like grits so that’s sayin’ somethin’ right there. What made it special was the chef coming out to talk to us for a bit. So fun!
This place is AMAZING!!! We’ve been there multiple times now and I have yet to have anything but the BEST experiences. I even chose to spend my birthday there a few weeks ago. The food is positively fabulous- the chef is a Cajun culinary mastermind and everything is seasoned wonderfully. The gumbos are so good, as well as the shrimp & grits, stuffed flounder, and if you are a lover of fish & chips do NOT walk, run to it! The service is always top notch- our waitstaff has been so pleasant and well-trained. Everyone is positive, attentive and professional. We love karaoke nights on Wednesdays especially- such a fun time… and it doesn’t hurt that Wednesdays is half price wine!
We had a wonderful experience here last night. Our server Monica was so friendly, and did a wonderful job of making suggestions, as well as, being sure all of our needs were met. The food was amazing! We shared the seafood dip, my husband had the stuffed flounder with cheese grits and I had a sirloin (you could literally cut with a fork and didn't need steak sauce) and au gratin potatoes! The inside is absolutely beautiful and so very clean! This is one of our new favorite spots and we will definitely be back!
Miss Annie’s – A Hidden Gem in St. Joseph, TN If you're looking for a place that embodies true Southern hospitality, look no further than Miss Annie’s in St. Joseph, TN. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting—rustic charm with a clean, cozy feel that instantly made us feel at home. Our server, Jacie, was an absolute delight. She greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine interest in making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Her friendly, down-to-earth approach made the experience feel more like dining with friends than just another restaurant visit. We were lucky enough to meet “Smiley,” the owner and chef, who was making his rounds to greet guests and check in on their meals. His presence added a personal touch that’s rare to find. He stopped by our table, chatted with us like old friends, and then surprised us by bringing out samples of his specialty dishes: Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and Cheesy Grits with Shrimp. Each bite was bursting with flavor—clearly made with love and fresh ingredients. Just when we thought the meal couldn’t get any better, Smiley returned with a complimentary bread pudding for dessert. It was the perfect sweet finish to an already outstanding meal. I also had a side salad with their homemade lemon vinaigrette, which was light, zesty, and incredibly tasty. Everything at Miss Annie’s is made fresh daily, and you can taste the care in every dish. My husband and I left with full bellies and fuller hearts. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be bringing friends. Thank you, Miss Annie’s, for the unforgettable experience. Southern hospitality at its finest!
OMG so good! If you’re in Florence or Muscle Shoals AL, lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Pulaski, Tennessee, or you’re driving on highway 43 between Lawrenceburg and Florence Alabama, this place is excellent. I cannot recommend this place higher than five stars, but I would.
We have now been to Ms. Annie's twice. Both times with large groups. The drinks and appetizers were delicious, especially the fried grit balls. Balls. Yummy yummy! In our group all got different foods from salmon to steak to salads. Everyone raved over their food. I got fish and chips with delicious homemade tartar sauce. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
This was amazing and we’re so glad it reopened! Our server was very entertaining… We actually did not think our service was as slow as it has been at previous restaurants but we received complementary salads and dessert because the kitchen thought it was slow. The gumbo was fabulous. The crab and shrimp dip was amazing. The blackened redfish was amazing! The ranch dressing that they make in house is so AWESOME and I love ranch, but I rarely eat it because no bottle or human makes it the way I like it. Theirs is SOOOOO good, that I bought several containers and brought them home!!!!!!! Y’all enjoy because this place is so worth it for the drive, the hospitality… You’re welcome!
